Mary Barton is an Accredited Family Law Specialist (member of the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation Scheme) and a Member of the Association of Lawyers for Children. Mary gained an LLB (Honours) Degree from the University of Essex in 1992, whilst raising her family, and was subsequently admitted to the Roll of Solicitors (England & Wales) in 2000. With her wide ranging experience in both private and public law family issues representing people of all ages, she specializes in all matters where issues arise out of ‘family’ relationships, such as:

• Breakdown of relationships, separation and divorce
• Cross-border, residence and contact disputes in relation to children
• Finance and property
• Couples looking to prevent difficulties arising in the future by entering into Pre-Marital Agreements
• Assistance with UK visa applications (fiancée, marriage etc)

Mary is an experienced legal advisor, well versed in international private law, with the expertise to not only litigate in the appropriate forum but to also utilize Collaborative Law principles and offer mediation as an alternative.
